It is a legal requirement that workers using tight fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE) must be tested. It will satisfy the legal requirement to ensure that the FFP3 has been tested and is safe for the wearer to use.
With work related respiratory illnesses responsible for thousands of deaths in the UK every year, it is crucial that those planning and undertaking the works are aware of the hazards and how they can be controlled.
This course aims to provide delegates with the ability to select suitable RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) which is an essential step in ensuring that those exposed to respiratory hazards are protected.
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Understand the Assigned Protection Factors of various types of RPE and use this knowledge to help select FFP3 which is both suitable and sufficient
- Understand where and when a face fit is required and what actions can be taken where a face fit is not possible.
This is a half day course.
